Just a very simple birthday cake for some people at KP BPK. This was a 8 in. round, chocolate amaretto poundcake with chocolate amaretto buttercream. I actually tried this swirl effect and it turned out nice.
I am a full time physical therapist during the day, but an aspiring baker during my free time. I have been practicing PT for 3 years now. However, I feel like there is something more for me. Well, I resorted back to my love for baking. Since Summer '08, I seriously began baking cupcakes/cakes for my friends and colleagues whenever an occasion, such as a birthday, came along. After hours of recipe and cake decorating trial and error, my works still need perfection. I will strive to achieve the best and hope to accomplish it soon. I have so much more skills yet to acquire.
My cake philosophy is simple: A balanced harmony of taste, texture, and design, made from quality ingredients.
